Wander Woman 2
Virtual Exhibit & Artist Presentation
May 1 - June 5, 2020
Wander Woman 2, the second iteration of Wander Woman, provides an empowering and engaging platform for Bay Area, APA immigrant women of color artists. Its mission is to highlight the artists and their work, to amplify their voices by presenting significant conversations surrounding issues of equity, gender roles, and underrepresentation. It also aims to foster deep connections within the community and beyond.
The artists present a diverse range of artistic media with a focus on photo-based conceptual work. The works include performance, photography, print media, sculpture, video — intending to transcend geographic boundaries. Collectively, this virtual exhibition explores complex identity politics such as diaspora, femininity, liminality, and power dynamics.
